It was a memorable experience. George kept telling me to relax and Mo put me at ease, having had a number of pictures taken of herself before. We wound up with some outstanding pictures, that we wanted to put on the walls of our apartment. We had been looking for art to put up in the apartment and these photos were her idea for that.

Until recently, my interest in photography played a supporting roll to my primary passion of sculpture. As I developed my skills of working with the camera, I discovered, that in a certain way, a close connection exists between the artforms, and photography has gained equal status to my sculpture. And so these pictures of Monique and Dino are part of a first series of images that express my way of seeing and interpreting form and beauty through a two-dimensional media, and are not only inspired by, but offer inspirations for sculpture.
